Venetian Transparency, a tribute to the sturdy lightness of Murano glass

Venetian Transparency is the new tabletop collection designed by Anna Fendi. After a period dedicated to the construction of her Roman boutique hotel Villa Laetitia, she wanted to celebrate the Italian culture and its wonders, by creating prestigious and exclusive pieces. The collection mainly composed by plates and glasses was made in Murano by the hands of young glass artists, whom were perfectly able to interpret her desires.

The transparence and the extreme lightness of the materials are predominant. Ruby, green apple, smoke, amber, honey and coffee are the colors that complete the other selections of white, black and transparent. Further more the traditional method, Anna has rediscovered a very ancient technique called “incalmo ” which consists of the precise fusing of two different colors to make it appear as if it Was only one piece of glass. To complete the collection there are the vases Romeo & Juliet, Othello & DESDEMONA and JAGO. The precious silk and velvet table cloths, lace table cloths modernized by the tones of grey. Tradition and modernity mix in a harmonious game where nothing is left to the case and everything become sprecious and unique.

In a moment where there are points of reference nor futuristic ideas, finally through the rescue of the Italian heritage and traditions, Anna Fendi had the courage to get back into the game, starting from the table, the main symbol of Family and union, which she considers her main personal values.
